Please follow the rules listed below to help us keep The Gallery tidy, and a place where members of all artistic levels can enjoy coming to visit.
When you make a thread: -
One art thread per person.
If you make a thread to post some artwork of yours, whatever it is, then a week later you make some more, use your existing thread instead of making a new thread for it.
- Thread title
Give your thread a good title so its easy for us to know what it is about, for example "Adz's Art". No "OMG LOOK" as the title for a thread where you have made something.
- Quality
You work should show a certain level of quality. Something that you've spent a bit of time on.
- Your own work
Everything you submit should be entirely your own work.
Don't other people's art and place it in you're signature or avatar.
Don't take or use other people's work unless they allow you to.
Threads not to make: -
- Make me something threads.
These threads belong in the Signatures and Avatars forum, not in The Gallery forum. Any found here will be deleted.
- Complaint threads
Please post them in the Queries forum.
Constructive Criticism
The Gallery is a place where Penguin Posters users can share their artwork with other users. Be warned though, that if what you made is really bad, or needs improvement, people will tell it directly to your face. If you are criticizing someone's work, please try to do it nicely, or at least find something good to say about their work.
If you are commenting on artwork here:
- If you're going to point out the bad, at least try and find something good about the artwork.
- Do not be overly rude. You can give harsh criticism, but this is not an excuse to flame and be rude.
If you are posting artwork here:
- Make sure you are ready to accept both good and negative feedback. You will get both.
- Do not post something that you know is really not that great.
- All artwork is welcome, but make sure it follows the rules.
